HOUSTON, September 17, 2021/ -- Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP (“Boardwalk”), is pleased to announce
that its newly formed entity Boardwalk Louisiana Gas Transmission, LLC (“BLGT”) has acquired natural gas
pipeline assets from Varibus L.L.C., effective September 9, 2021.
BLGT will transport interstate natural gas supplies to end-use customers in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The acquisition
of the Varibus pipeline will complement Boardwalk’s Gulf South interstate pipeline, which also provides
natural gas transportation in Louisiana, including markets in Lake Charles.
“With this acquisition, Boardwalk is bringing greater supply diversity and enhanced liquidity to the growing
energy needs of end-use markets in southwest Louisiana,” said John Haynes, senior vice president and chief
commercial officer of Boardwalk. “We are pleased to successfully close this acquisition and look forward to
providing reliable service to end-users previously served by Varibus and new industrial markets.”
